NemaLogs: Nematode Orthologous Gene Database

This page allows the user to identify and download orthologus genes for specified sets of nematode taxa and outgroups. The orthologs have been pre-computed for every species pair using two distinct methods.

  1. Reciprocal Best BLAST (RBB) and exclusion of in-paralogs following the basic approach of Blair et al. 2005 (PDF).
  2. A Non-RBB method which identifies single copy genes based maximal bit score or conservation score following the basic method of Lerat et al. 2003 (PDF).  For this method, the user can specify one way matches or reciprocal matches several thresholds, with a range of maximal bit score of 0.3 (least stringent) to 0.9 (most stringent).
