20% PEG 8000/2.5 M NaCl (for SPRI purification)

For 100 mL Solution:

20 grams PEG 8000

50 mL 5M NaCl solution or 14.6 grams solid NaCl

H₂O to bring final volume to 100 mL

Add the PEG 8000 to a beaker containing the NaCL , bring volume to 100 mL by adding sufficient amount of H₂O. Stir using a magnetic stir bar. Autoclave for 15 minutes.

Note: Solution may separate during autoclaving process. Allow it to cool and then shake bottle to mix back into homogeneous solution.
